... really cool – it featured a lot of once abandoned cats and dogs, as well as pigs, kangaroos and birds. They were all trained to run in and out of certain obstacles and up ropes, down ladders, pull up weights and interact with each other – it was very cool seeing that pets other than dogs could be trained so well.

The reptile area was most exciting with the different varieties of Galapagos tortoises, the Japanese alligator, very small by American standards, and the Komodo dragon and his friend. He actually welcomed the keeper and remained still for a head rubbing.
Tired but not hungry we made our way back to the hotel on the late afternoon ...
