Stansted was not a bad place to leave from. I had visions of 'come fly with me', and there were moments of the day that looked just like TV, but actually the journey and airport came out well. ... the bus, we got on and within 20 minutes were at the base of the gondola. After getting in, a guy joined us, who was from Holland. He was skiing at different mountains for the week, and this was his last day before driving 10 hours back home.

Well, neither Ken, nor I slept well and that did not bode well for our day. We did breakfast at the Balzar Cafe (again recommended by Rick Steves) which is supposed to be similar to a Vienna coffee house. It was on the river, and did have good coffee, and according to Paige…really good eggs, cheese, tomatoes and ham.
