We are traveling to Salzburg, Austria today and the map takes us right through Munich. The girls have been so good and haven't had much of a chance to do things they really want to we stopped at the Munich Zoo for a few hours. Getting there was a pain - parking in Germany is crazy! We took 20 minute breaks in both, enough time to visit the town square and get a brief glimpse of the town. We arrived at our final stop, Munich, a little after 6pm. Our hotel is near the train station, so we dropped off our bags, ...

... we got to the hair salon next to our hostel (which we were sure was a sign) it had closed about 10 minutes before. I took this as a sign for a nap. After we slept we met up with Christine, a co-worker from the CDC. We walked downtown and then to the Hofbrauhaus. We wondered for a while since all the seats were full and I thought back to our luck earlier in the day and got a little nervous. We decided to split up, but right after we had we found a 4 person table. ...
