... was a hour long wait just to use the bathroom, but you know us Iowa girls, give us two cars and a few girls to block from each side and we're good to go! After the whole beer tent scene we all needed some fresh air so we walked around outside for a bit and debated going on a carnival ride! ... lives in Kaiserslauten and was able to get a cheap train down for the weekend. I met Matthias on my Eastern Europe trek, and I told him I would let him know when I came to Munich.

After a few hours at the park, Dean and I headed back to the hostel and after a quick shower I met Matthias down in the hostel bar. We had a few games of pool and a few beers before Dean and the girls joined us to go to the Augustiner restaurant which is in the town. We had a lovely dinner ...

... houses a massive amount of artwork. I felt like I was sprinting through the gallery and I was there for 3 hours! It would take a week for me to just see the Pinakothek galleries. That many pieces of art. Anyway, I enjoyed what I could see. All the more reason to return.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Munich and must find a way to go back soon.

Last days in Bavaria

... and souvenier shopping before meeting up with cousin Deimut. We enjoyed a wonderful meal together and were gven some gifts to take home for Omi and the children. Was nice to have met up with Deimut for a second occassion.
Back home by train. I did a final repack and Cheryl tried to help Andrea with some computer issues - sound tracks, I Tunes etc.
Quiet drinks at home and to bed before the long haul home. Big few days including 20hrs of flying time ahead of us.
