... happiness and bliss. This discussion has occurred with friends in the past - it's not the only place where I'm capable of feeling that, it's just the place where I always feel that way. At times I feel that way here, and even felt that way for a while a few months back, but I never seem to be able to make that feeling last. Many friends have suggested simply moving to Spain, but I harbour a fear that living there permanently will dissipate that feeling, and ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada pwong... finding it here. Gee it's chilly. Not at all what we were expecting, and certainly don't have enough warm clothes with us, that's for sure.
From there we travelled until Calgary, with only a quick toilet stop at a lovely ice cream shop. Had pre-searched the internet for accommodation, and although we didn't take up the option we had found (another skuzzy place), three doors down, and on the advice of the young ladies from the ...
... I'm SO done with winter and being stuck inside with a baby, so am looking forward to getting to Oz sooner rather than later with this next baby. So stay tuned... will be posting here while away! Oh, my new blog is http://incrediblelifecoach.blogspot.com / it's more of an at home, being a new mom, pregnancy progression type, so definitely different from this one! Until Mexico..... :)
Calgary, Alberta, Canada incrediblelife... to getting grilled by my own!
And so ends another journey - if the current economic situation continues, this will likely be the last one for quite some time ... sigh ... there is always a song that forever reminds me of a particular trip, and in this case, there are actually two. If there really will be no return to Spain this summer, then at least I still have the songs I have grown to love over the past few years of traveling. I ...
Sooo... where to start? Tuesday night would probably be the best place, since that's about where I left off... So the Calgary Flames played the Colorado Avalanches (NHL teams, please try to keep up) on Tuesday night, so Chris, Elisha (friends from home), and I went down to the local pub with two of the housemates- Mike and Cliff- to watch the game on the big screen. I had a pretty tasty burger while we were there, figuring it was probably slightly healthier than the greasier-than-a ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada coloneljames... to buy a motorcycle. Arrangements to have it shipped need to be finalized. I decide to buy the newer, with less kilometres, YELLOW, motorcycle. I leave in a week for Winnipeg, the start of my West Coast Tour. I get to the motorcycle store and no yellow 2005 R1200GS. They have 2 GS's in stock. Their test bike, which is being loaned the Calgary Police for the Stampede Parade the next day (and they won't sell it) and another which has been set up for the ...

Canada does not have many highways like our interstates - so when we got to Calgary, we hit the red lights on the main roads - imagine I-85 with stoplights. We say a lot of America here - McDonalds, Wal-Marts, etc. We are staying just outside the city as West Calgary Campground - right next to the Sky Jump area of the 1988 Calgary Olympics. The campground sits on top of a ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada scoonpooh... last night. My jackets are still in the trailer. My gloves are also in the trailer. I could wear my parka which is in Katrine's closet, but it's not that cold. I find something to wear. I go find my snowbrush in the garage. My hands are frozen from scraping the ice off the windows. Too late now to go to Second Cup. That's Ok, they have a coffee bar at the church. I get to the church and a sign says there is no water to the building. That means no coffee. Oh well ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada cobra1899... so mysterious and stuff. "You have good Karma my friend. Just one moment" He makes some calls and gets me a cheap room at a motel around the corner. Sweetness. As we walked to our hotel, I think to myself. "Yeah, I am a good man. I do deserve some good Karma." Well guess what people. I am a good person, but Karma? Karma is a Kunt. Jared met me at the Motel the next day a little after midday. I hadn't seen him for a while and it was good to catch up. We had a few errands to run in town ...
Calgary, Alberta, Canada gazalache... them as there were none to be seen! Not much happening on the flight - I tried to sleep, but couldn't. Time passed quickly. Breakfast arrived - a grilled bacon Panini, muffin, and juice. Same breakfast as last year ... a ****** meal, but edible (the muffin was actually ok). Soon after, we landed in London. London was dreary. As we exited the plane we were hit with a blast of smog. London, I've missed you and your beautiful pollution!!!
