... which was soon cut short with an unexpected switch to a direct flight and an upgrade to first class....some days you just gotta let be what is meant to be right? So our last week in LA we have tried to keep it pretty low key and transition into normal life again, so we have been to Jimmy Kimmel, just missed out on meeting the Rock, bumped into Schmitt from New Girl at our grocery store....you know low key. Highlights

... Bright Angel trail entrance to see the daily Muel riders start their way down the tiny path winding its way down the cliffs into the canyon base. It takes 3-4 hrs and they will them spend the night and take the trek back up on their Muels the next day. This apparently costs $500 each person, and you have to book 1 year ahead to get a ride. We have definitely added this to the bucket list! We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck of the El Tovar, and taking in the canyon panorama on ...

    California has been a surprise.

There is some poverty, homeless line every street around the hubs, which is no real surprise, but I was expecting more. There seemed to be more in San Francisco, but that might just be because we were in the centre of things.

Wealth is EVERYWHERE, especially in LA. There are so many huge and magnificent homes here. Per capita ...
