... folks at the Icelandic checkin were cheerful and helpful – and the bags and boxes were NOT over the weight limits, so we paid $56 per bike for the shipping, and were off. Our bags went through the big scanner, but the two security men opened our bike boxes and tested several of the items for chemicals. They assured us they’d seal the boxes back up securely!
