    First day on the road.....pulling double 35 mph winds gusting to 40 mph in the Flint Hills of Kansas....speed limit 75 and I'm going 58 trying to conserve fuel and hold her on the road....9 hours and 3 tanks of fuel later, I made it to the Cimmaron RV Park in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Hope tomorrow isn't this challenging....will feel good to get parked in Snyder, Tx tomorrow and see Miss Cassidy ...

    We stopped in Oklahoma for the weekend to spend time with Jenny and Camron (Tj's sis and bro-in-law) ...Zoe is so happy to be in a home around people who love her and not just a hotel! Camron is helping her play the piano and I think that is her new favorite hobby! We went to see a movie (Tommorowland was amazing)

    Dogs are doing great

    ... approach to landing I gave the passengers a little bit more "float" on touchdown than normal but got it on the ground firmly in some brisk winds. Enrique's Mexican Restaurant on the airfield accommodated us with lunch in the Pilot Lounge since we had Ichabod with us because "no se admiten perros en el restaurante". Ichabod did great with his home-rigged noise canceling headsets and slept most of the way. Good boy! Next stop, Little Rock, ...

    Guthrie OK is worth the stop

    ... name of "Sooners", because they got there sooner than they were supposed to. There's so much I don't remember from my history, and it's so much more interesting to me now.

    Guthrie has a huge section dedicated to historic district, so being in town is like being there at the turn of the century. They have kept many brick streets, and the buildings have been restored to their former glory, and we found it to be a peaceful, lovely town.
