... taught cursive writing. How would they be able to sign legal docs she wondered. I said all American kids I've ever enrolled had beautiful cursive. Not any more she insisted. I don't think we're making much of a 'hand' of it here either. (Ha ha). Wendy keeps getting compliments about her hair out of the blue. That's my IO Girl! ... park and beaches. So it wasn't all bad! Unfortunately the aquarium and boat cruise to Alcatraz were well out of our budget but the golden gate bridge was free and so were the sea lions piled up on pier 39. We also managed to sample the local clam chowder which is advertised everywhere you look and we got to spend a day in the sunshine exploring the wharves and downtown.
