... even half empty. A plate of nachos and a variety of chilli dips was brought to the table as an appetiser and the main courses themselves were a delicious blend of crunchy, spicy and tangy and packed with flavour.

We didn't rush to get out this morning and then had breakfast ($3 deal including coffee) at Subway in Bush Street. Then we caught the bus to Japan Town. Lots of lovely shops there with plenty of things I'd love to buy, but we've got no room to carry extra stuff in our suitcases, really. ... attached for pooper scooping. Every bus has written on it the statute that all front seats must be released for elderly and dabbled. Very few plastic bags are used and like the warehouse you are charged 10cents for a bag (usually paper) and once again it is a statute in San Francisco. Lots of good food shops and restaurants ( but Kiwi coffee. Is still better). Automatic crossings on all streets making crossing the road safe.

... tried to book a table there back in NZ, but was told they were booked out. Anyway we decided to try through the concierge at the hotel and voila! We secured a booking.

Chez Parnisse is rather famous. It’s situated in Berkeley, and is an institution. They offer a set menu that changes every night. The food was wonderful. And even more exceptional, the portion sizes were just right.

... I had looked before we left Perth and most in the good areas were over $350 per night. We got this at a ludicrously reduced rate and really see it as a miracle.

On our way in we headed to an area I wanted to see. I had seen it on pinterest. It is a set of mosaic steps high up at the intersection of 16th and Moraga. We wound around the narrow streets and found it. We climbed the 138 steps to the tops and found amazing views. ...
