... get a jacket for Eric and I have been looking for a camel hair coat for several years -- found one for me.
We had lunch out and then we packed up to go to Guildford to get our rental -- a white Ford Cougar. We said our goodbyes and were off to see the Browns (Eric's brother & family). Alan, Allison and Holly live nearby in Pyrford and we were very happy to see them again.
We had an early night as we are still on Bangkok time.

Paris to London.
... London Eye", perfect day for it with great views of the city..
Onwards.. we have hired another car (Right hand drive and Right side of the road, shouldn't be too much of a challenge). We're heading to York to stop the night, with maybe a side trip to the Ultima factory and eventually on to meet the rellies in Scotland on Saturday.

Touch Down
... with the Houses of Parliament.
Off to the London Eye and an Open Top bus ride around London. Slightly disappointed with the Bus ride as a lot of the roads to Landmarks were closed to the buses... No one mentioned THAT when we were buying our 39 quid worth of tickets :)
We ended up miles from where we wanted to be, but managed to hoof it back ...

As the Hayes & Harlington station was conveniently located, James & I boarded a train to Paddington, changed at Willesden and then Highbury to get to the E1 district of London. 2 hours. Freeth was too busy watching Murray win gold, so that at the end of the second set, James & I set off to collect my car from Heathrow ...
Our First Day in London
