... NOS where we ate hot, fresh beniets in the shape of Mickey Mouse. Mmmmnn they were good. The good news was we had beniets at the Gumbo Pot in LA's Farmer's Market so all was not lost in the beniet department. More to the point, we found the Dole Whip location and this righted all that was wrong in the World. (We saved that indulgence until later however.)

As Rob and I were on the roof of the RV tying on our new canoe right in front of the main entrance of a huge sports store, a man walked past with his family and yelled out "Where are you going?!" - arms outstretched, to which Rob replied “Everywhere!” - fist pump. They love that kind of ****! Catching buses around the cities everyone chats away to everyone – total contrast to NZ public buses where no-one makes eye contact or says a word. ...

... we got souvenir mugs and a bucket of popcorn. the bucket is also a souvenir. we ended up putting our slightly leaky olive oil bottle in the bucket as a secondary container.
elaine tried really hard to touch the balls, but she was too short. (she did graze one). as we were walking out, we noticed a bunch of people covered in toilet paper. i highly recommend all to watch them. btw elaine would love a cd of them for xmas.
