Well, I-10 and I-12 are in no better shape than last trips. It's like riding a roller coaster for 2 hours. Luckily I-49 was much better. We took I-49 North to line up with Hwy 380 in Texas. This is a small 2 lane highway to nowhere. Roswell, The Very Large Array, Valley of the Fires and the Painted Desert are accessible from this road.
Tuesday, May 19th... I have been looking forward to this day for quite a while and now it's here and the 2015 trip has begun. Not perfectly... found out there is a major leak in the cab-over part of the camper and there is a small pool of water under the mattress. Don't know how long it's been leaking, but there is no mildew ...
... with a little picket fence and an arbor gate. It's most outstanding feature was bush roses with the most outstanding fragrance. They were sweet and lemony and could smelled from 3 feet away.

We could hear very heavy thunder north of us and see lots of lightning flashes, but we only got some hard rain for a short period of time at bedtime. From the looks of the weather radar, areas very close to us got hit with very hard rain and wind. But, there were no tornadoes. Thank you, Lord. ...
We had an uneventful day of travel under gray skies, but without rain. We left the campground in Arlington after 9:00 am so most of the traffic had thinned. We drove along without many problems.
