Tour to Philadelphia and Amish experience

... a horse and buggy ride with an Amish gentleman but he didn't say anything apart from hello. The tour was advertised as an Amish experience but we didn't see or hear much at all. The brochure said we would have lunch at an Amish marketplace but there wasn't an Asmish person to be seen. It was just stalls selling normal tourist items. I was quite disappointed as we definitely didn't get a sense of how the Amish live.

It was a long day as we didn't get back to Robyns until 9.30pm.

... Taxi. Our driver was excellent and told us they all had to learn the whole history of the city and I believe it as he told us a lot in our short ride. Victoria Station is right near the Royal area so we were seeing historic buildings immediately & our ride was too short.

Since we were arriving before check in time we decided to try to drop off our luggage and then start out on our adventure. The hotel was happy ...

... Elizabeth we got drinks from Dunkin Donuts and stayed a while sitting in some nice park. After that we headed to the train station and took the train back to West Chester. Tired but happy I even went to run some routes and catch some football to the nearby football field. When we got back the whole bomb thing happened (you guys that missed it can read it from my facebook page :) )

... famous rivals - Pat’s and Geno’s cheesesteaks - sit across the intersection from each other. I’m tempted to try flashy Geno’s (neon and colours galore) as I’ve had Pat’s before… but Geno’s a fairly solid racist and the stories I’ve heard and the content of some of the signs and stickers definitely steer me toward the more demure Pat’s.
