... idea of what we do/don't far I don't like anything as much as what we've got...this is going to be a loooonngg process!
Tuesday evening we picked up Trey and took him out to the Japanese Steak House for dinner - first time we've seen him in 4 or 5 years - it was a great dinner, and good visit with him (he just celebrated his 20th birthday!), and afterwards, we got to meet his girlfriend, Morgan, who worked right next door at an Italian restaurant.

... sides. We checked into the Cherry Tree Inn, hence the George Washington reference. Catch is, it has nothing to do with him. Another guy named George Washington dreamt it up and cashed in on his namesake.

... noticed several places where there were pieces of cloth or bags wrapped in or tied to trees. Turns out these are a Native American prayer practice. The Tower is honored by my Tribal customs and the land is considered sacred by the Native Americans. Four Days in Billings

I have to admit that there is nothing special about Billings Montana that warrants four days stay. However it is a city of enough size that we decided to stay in order to prepare for crossing into Canada. Some prescriptions needed to be refilled and we used the time to stock up on food supplies, wash the camper, do laundry, and catch up on the news, use of computer wi-fi and cell phone time.

Dropped down to I-90 via Three Forks and then on to Bozeman. The scenery from Helena to Billings was beautiful in the afternoon, smoke filtered sunshine.

We finally outran the smoke somewhere between Bozeman and Billings - what a welcomed relief.
