... 2k with my thumb out, finally got a ride. The tour, a bargain at 1k, was not until 3.30pm so hung around in the sunny yard soaking up the scenery and artefacts - didn't take long to soak up the 2 tiny shots that were included in the tour though was good and very reasonably priced but no space to lug around a bottle of the hard stuff as would need mixers too!

... Pisco sours with lunch one day didn't do much to help the problem either. Before all was said and done though, we did manage to get over the worst of it and to enjoy some of the local scene in Santiago. The sun was an absolute griller! We bumped into some Chilean schoolgirls at the top who got all giggly over Tom. The heat really must have been getting to them!

Back in town our plan to find out about getting out to an ...
