    Up early, had to shower then pack as checking out of room. Then had breakfast then walked to bus station and took bus to pisco elqui. Took couple of hours to get there so I slept but really pretty view. Andes mountains and valleys. Went to go for pisco tour but in Spanish so we decided to sack it of and just go to the restaurant instead to drink the pisco!     ... we pulled in from some samples, this is the only winery in the region which uses the Pisco grapes to make wine instead of pisco. The wine was ok but way too sweet for our taste buds.

    ... up with some folks from Milwaukee and with some slightly independent-minded trail horses spent a few hours exploring the spectacular terrain of the valley. DH is temporarily bow-legged but she wants me to download a couple of John Wayne movies so I think she’s only a six-shooter and a black mask away from going Lone Ranger on me.

    Stargazing and bronco riding didn’t leave much time for sleep but we had a great time in this high energy zone of the world

    ... streets lined with colorful vine and flower covered adobe style buildings and looking for our guesthouse. At one point after ending up in what looked like a chicken coop, we turned around and ended up inquiring a local in a truck to find out where we went wrong. It turned out the chicken coop was in fact the way into the grape vine covered yard and the house we were looking for. The scene was set for the next few days in style.
