    Emil tells me that my proposed route is closed for roadworks on one of the cols, opening for just an hour or two each day, one-way only. So he suggested an alternative, though one of the high passes will be challenging. Ok well I have to try that one.

    ... stop and take photos to capture the moment, which is exactly what I did. The attached pictures provide some indication of what it was like...and if any pictures can capture the feeling of "why we ride..." Then these certainly do...however you had to be there... I believe that it takes over two weeks (trip) to get into a space where reflection on the outdoors and the experience takes place. It also takes a couple of weeks to feel at one with ones machine and feel flow–I am there ...

    ... where we spent 4 weeks back in 2012. Not much has changed in 2 years... Some might say not much has changed in the last 300 years....but we've found a lovely small apartment. Dinner was red wine, cheese, baguette and pate. Accompanied by some lovely piano music from a nearby house...wonderful. We have really made the grade now with Tony Delroy on ABC radio, he even mentioned us tonight without us even needing to call ...
