      ... was simple but beautiful. It took me a long time, maybe over an hour to walk back up to the City and as I did it rained like mad so I sought shelter at a bus stop. Its a peaceful walk otherwise as you have a walking and cycling path, as long as you dont mind being all alone. Port Douglas definitely felt safer for me compared to Cairns even though there were very few people out and about outside of the city.

      ... the road from us had a sign outside saying - shops and sheila’s straight on (arrow) husband drop off (arrow to pub) don’t you love Australians?

      Tomorrow am we’re picking up the camper, have bought a tent and shade cheaply for the 7 weeks. We’re all quite excited about it really - a new chapter starting - the rest of our tour of Australia awaits.
