    ... that still operates. From Malanda it was on to the Crater Lakes national park. First was Lake Eacham which was surrounded by rainforest and abundant birdlife. Formed from a volcano this lake is up to 65m deep. Then it was on to Lake Barrine which has a lovely teahouse. We did a short walk to two towering Kauri pine trees.     ... forgot about you all............just kidding. On Wednesday it was 'State of Origin' which is a best of three rugby league series between Queensland and New South Wales.
