... meet us at Cairns Airport.

  • The plane trip was 3 hours and 10mins. We had a device to watch movies or listen to music, but I didn't feel well halfway through so I slept on mum. The back half of the plane were all Indian. While I was trying to get to sleep I could here lots of different languages. As we flew into into Cairns you could see the beautiful blue ocean and blue skies.

Tonight I will be flying to Bali.

I have had a great week in Cairns where I spent 6 days getting certified as an Advanced scuba diver. The course consisted of 2 training days and 4 days living on a boat in the Great Barrier Reef.

I had amazing weather and really enjoyed diving. I hope to go diving in Bali and in other stops along the way.

Unfortunately my waterproof camera broke because I went to deep so I do not have many pictures of my experience.

... gear). I was nervous too, this was my first ever fun dive, I was worried it would be different to the way I'd learned at Big Blue in Koh Tao, but of course those nerves were unfounded and everything went swimmingly (excuse the pun!). I saw a few big sharks down there, which was less frightening than I'd expected, they paid little to no notice of us. The water was outrageously clear, you could see 30m ahead of yourself! ...
