... the history of the many expeditions that passed through that point exploring the inland part of northern Australia.

We spent a day at the Undura Lava tubes on the top of the Great Dividing Range and were amazed with the amount of volcanic activity and sites within the area.

As we crossed the range toward Cairns we passed through Milstream, Milla Milla, Ravenshoe and Malanda. It was very green, lots ...

We returned to our rainforest retreat for a home-grilled meal interrupted briefly by "killer grasshoppers" (not really - just one child's version of events). But there ARE a ...

In Airlie we met up with some people from the Fraser tour. Was a really fun night out! We also wrote ads for a lift and searched for couch surfing spaces in Cairns. In the end a French guy offered us a lift to Cairns as he saw our ad in gumtree. So the next day he picked us up in his van. First stop was Bowen where we just made a stop at McDonalds and drove further to Townsville. In Townsville we drove to a lookout and then searched for a free camping spot. There are plenty ...
