We had another very quiet day catching up on writing and washing. We finally heard that Red was better at about 4. The mechanic drove her here to see if she was ok and we drove him back and up a hill to make sure we were happy. A part has been removed that was damaged so hopefully,although she is a little noisy, she is better.

... the GLW got on the phone to summon help, and I undertook the dismal task of checking back into the hotel that we had left half an hour ago. Roman took pity on us poor hapless Brits and promoted us to the best room, which was nice, and we awaited further developments.

... that seemed well and truly stuck over Zakopane. A bit like us. The balcony happened to overlook what looked like a small Sixth Form College, so I also entertained myself in spotting classic student types ( swot, jock, fop, idler ) and classic teacher types ( tweed jacket, sneaking off early, harassed with piles of marking, art teacher ). It served as a reminder of a life I could once remember.
