Medford, Oregon, United States pamericas... the market were 3 or 4 floors of shops. Near the Market was the Seattle Art Museum. I hope we can come back one day and visit it.
Leaving Seattle we drove past Mariner's Safeco Field and the Seahawk's Quest Stadium. Traffic picked up into Portland and Eugene. Our day ended in Grants Pass, Oregon. Nice place to end it.
Viel Spass.
Williams, Oregon, United States andre583This was an unexpected highlight brought to me by Tamami, who found it on the web. An entire hotel and resort entirely in the trees. Well, sort of. Most of the rooms are up in the trees, some as much as 40 feet, and some even have water and bathroom facilities. The whole place has been around for over 20 years and they have been adding on rooms and things to do ever ...
Cave Junction, Oregon, United States brandonibologna... posts and rope around the perimeter but will eventually have white fencing to match the other fencing they already have around the property. Then we got a bunch of chairs and sat back, drinking wine or beer, and watched 13 year old Madi put on a show as she rode around the arena on 'Raker".

Madi 'shows' at various horse shows and while we were there, we went down to one at Yreka, CA for a weekend. Sami, Madi and I stayed in Sami's motorhome (Scott and ...
Rogue River, Oregon, United States chictravelers2... expensive and pushed on. Probably not the smartest move - were quite stressed we would be empty in the middle of nowhere...but we found another one in the nick of time just outside of Forks. Forks was so small and full of Twilight signs and adverts - quite funny really. So from there it took us another 2hrs to get out of the park and then we pushed on through to ...
Medford, Oregon, United States sharynr... I looked for a place to kip for the night. A vista seemed like a good place so I parked up with a decent view and laid back to watch a movie on the laptop. An hour later I'm being lit up like a firework. Car lights and spotlights trained on me, I see someone get out of the car and walk over. A Police Officer knocked on the window and asked me if I was ok. Told him was just resting and ...
101 somewhere, Oregon, United States teasertool... 50 BZ. The locals eat there. Bring your bug spray and make sure it's strong. Hopkins Village is a very mellow laid back village that is not over run with tourists. We only spent a day there, but we had a killer breakfast at Innies. The best beans on the whole trip. The locals are very friendly. Wish I had more time there. San Ignacio is bustling town with great deals on accommodations. It didn't seem as cheerful of a place as the coastal areas. This was the ...
Rogue River, Oregon, United States themeierls... with either driving to where I want to go or finding a place to stash a vehicle and then have to go retrieve it later which is silly if you ask me. Since I am new to the couchsurfing idea and I have no arrangements for a couch yet as its probably too early at the moment AND to be considerate to the CSers I have planned for a hotel for the first 1-3 days while I am there and possibly could get a couch for the other 1-3 days that I am there before moving on, my goal isn't ...
Grants Pass, Oregon, United States mynetdude... 11 miles, to the Sea Lion Caves, the only remaining home of wild roaring Steller Sea Lions. 541-547-3111; 9am, $6/P; It was well worth it, we got close and the sound alone was fun. We descended six stories down from the bluff above the ocean to an observatory viewing opening in the cave at just above ocean level. My trusty mini Minolta binoculars brought all the activity up close. A little further was Heceta Head lighthouse which I couldn't get close to, so was limited ...
