    ... are in a lovely setting, having a lake with swans swimming in it. We had heard of California wines, but not ones from Oregon, so we had to try them. To encourage the local industry, but for no other reason, we bought a bottle. We may be forced to open it this evening.

    ... and headed through BC, but by then it was getting late. The border was very busy and we had a small wait in line but no problems getting through. The mountain pass was rainy and foggy and finally we decided to find a place to stay the night as it was just to far to Kamloops. We pulled off in Merritt and will have a shorter ride tomorrow night as we plan to stay in Jasper on our way to Grande Prairie.
    That's it for tonight, no phone use now for about 10 days.
