    ... I needed to do is get an update on that fire just before South Lake Tahoe. Being that it is close to the PCT, I was concerned. I had no phone reception on my phone to check online. I went to the nearest ranger station get that update. The fire is 1.5 miles from the trail but the trail is not closed as of now. The fire is near some town and saving that town is a priority of-course. I only hope that fire is contained or out out before I get there in about 6-8 ...

    ... we learned how to craft an HET lesson. We were shown how to create a year-long "concept" (such as community) and four units that revolved around the concepts. We were then taught how to integrate different subjects and cover the necessary standards.

    ... SJPP, quite beautiful little town and headed to the pilgrims office to obtain our compostelas. We then headed to our hostel, then to get food. It was already 920 by the time we got our salads and had to rush home to the hostel before our ten o clock curfew. Bedtime came quick but that is the life in the camino.
