    Day 15: Cali Coast,Traffic & finally the LAKE!

    ... when we left Rte. 1 &, 2 miles later, the view was completely obscured by FOG. You couldn't even make out the faintest view of a lighthouse!

    Further south and terrain becomes more tree-covered, road becomes more twisty. There are cattle guards across road here & there.

    11:35 AM - Arrived in Bodega Bay & make a quick stop at a convenience store for coffee.
    Pretty area.

    ... moat was completed by the addition of some crawfish donated by our neighbours on the beach. The day was rounded off by a massive water fight, which included Maija desperately trying to "accidentally" hit a random American lady snoozing on her lie-low on the lake. As we headed back to the cars we got possibly the largest ice creams in Nevada and we only ordered the singles.

    ... when their nieces and nephews (Coleson, Cristabelle, and Coco) were young and used to come here. We got fudge at the candy shop, and then headed back to Reno. I have gotten postcards from Becky from Truckee, so I am glad I finally got to see it in person! Had dinner at the club (various small plates). Then back to Nan and Bills' - Becky and I sat under blankets and chatted for a while, such a nice time ...

    ... it was a break to take in the view, mostly it was an opportunity to catch my breath. Or it may even be capturing my RV shopping. I realise that i am more adventurous on my rides back home when i have my mates around. By myself, i go a little slower down the hills in case i go over the edge and there is no one to see me; or when the road ends and it says "KEEP OUT", I disappoint myself by finding that mostly, i do not enter. ...
