We left bright and early to drop JT off at Heavenly daycare and we went boarding. Well we happened to go on a day where it's Tahoes coldest and windiest. We only did a few runs because only 2 lifts were opened, Stagecoach and comet. The visibility was so bad and he wind was worse. When there was a gust of wind, it was impossible to see. It ...

Today the WCF held its AGM which means this is our last day in Reno. While the meeting was taking place, Elsie and I took a $1 bus ride and spent a pleasant couple of hours in the Mall.we had an early start to the evening- the first bus left at 4.30 to take us to the home of Holli and Jill McLean and what a home it was!! It is situated about 15 mins outside Reno in the hills at Arrowcreek and is a gated community. The views are fabulous as is the house ...

The food stalls were excellent - there was a huge variety and we happily tucked into various burritos and gyros. After a couple of hours we were ready to head home to check that the wine aerator was still working.

... in the area, and not many of them sounded good. It seems like most were in casino parking lots (perhaps not the ideal place for our two kids), but ours at least sounded decent. It was actually a really nice park with a couple of big fenced areas for the dogs. It was close to the Sparks Marina, which had a playground, dog park, and a great 2 mile path around the lake. I woke up early and took the dogs out there - ...

Well, there was a small earthquake last night. It was about 50 miles away from Redding, but in the general direction that we'll travel today. We didn’t feel anything, neither earthquake nor the 18 aftershocks. It didn’t seem to do major damage. The roads are open and we’re moving on.

We drove along a mountain road through the Cascades. All along the Cascades from Washington down through ...
