This morning after a leisurely breakfast. Marky and I borrowed Marco's car and headed off to Vathi. Marky was wanting to check on our Greek wedding paper work! As it turned out our marriage certificate is perfectly legal in Greece- however in Australia it would need the Greek Apostille stamp!!!! So we have sent it off to the powers that be and asked Andy's solicitor Alexandro's to post ...
... by the men and the priest was really beautiful! Very melodic, harmonious tones filled the church. After the service we were greeted by some of the locals who kiss both cheeks alternately which is the Greek way. We met up with some English friends who also went to the service, then headed into the village for a coffee. Marky had one too! For the first time in ages he had coffee and very little reaction? The Greek cheeses are delicious and the beers good too. However, their red wine ...
... we said our vows to one another and Marco had to translate the Mayors words to us! Which translated were quite obscure as they were written in old Greek! We then headed off to a lovely garden where we sipped Moët and ate canapés and delicate cakes. Andy had organized for a taxi to drive us all over the island for a photo shoot. It was breathtakingly beautiful. The taxi driver (Sue) dropped us back at Kioni where we sipped wine and fed ...
