    ... floor and face aft.. and row the boat stern first facing downstream.. like sitting on a datum line.. fore of center... in a sense maybe its actually aft of center depending on how you look at it... so if I were flying backwards down stream .. facing the tail of the plane... anyway.... the boat was easier to control... as nutty as it sounds.. it was..........

    so I am going down river stern first.. got it...? The Good life............

    We arrived at our friends the Skoglunds' house last Thursday, still in the overwhelming heat and humidity. Once we got set up in their driveway, we attempted to run one a/c, but the long run extension cord hooked up to house power wasn't enough to make it happen - so we settled into their guest rooom for the long Labor Day Weekend. ...

    ... in Springfield, Illinois! We drove around town a bit and were very surprised to see President Abraham Lincoln! Later we wished we had found a place to park so we could visit with him, but we thought we might see him tomorrow. We did drive around town and see several Lincoln statues. It's neat to see a town so proud of its heritage! And we are excited to see more of this town tomorrow!
