... to the Appalation Trail which connected to another trail which went straight up. I had no idea what i was getting my self into when i suggested the hike. I love hiking but I'm not usually hiking straight up. After multiple stops for myself, Thomas sprang right up the mountain like a deer, we made it to the top just as the sun was setting. It was a beautiful view but it started getting darker faster and faster we ended hiking the last part in the dark. Lucky for us it was near a full moon.

... funny. The town was a zoo with soooo many people there, it was a first for me and for Nels. Leaving town was quite crazy as well trying to get back into the US with those very serious customs agents looking into our campervan which is very messy right about now. We passed the test and landed back where gas is much cheaper and you can buy wine without going to a secret code liquor store.

... and make maple syrup. They also pack cheese there and that was very interesting. We drove through a covered bridge, and went to see some of the trains at the junction. Steve wanted to take a ride, but we found out about it too late so that will be a good reason to come back... We plan on leaving here ...

The first part of the trip was spent in NH and consisted of work work work. So after that was finished, the first play play play part was in VT. We stayed in Manchester at a nice B&B- too bad is was only 1 night! We walked around the town at night and saw all the crazy people. Actually ...

I got home from Arizona and only had three days to get all of my stuff ready and leave for NYC to catch my plane for India. I was able to pull everything together but ended up spending a small fortune on vaccinations, medicines, etc. Luckily I had dawnkwan around to help me out!

Mt Washington in New Hampshire has both a cog railway and an auto route to its 6000ft summit. ... Rutland, VT feels like any other town. It is inviting, but doesn't appear to be special. I'm not a big fan of the roads in this area, but I can get past that. I tried to check in to the Best Western, but it was full. I got one of the last rooms at the Ramada which, while the condition of the room is sad, at least had free wifi. Now to plan my Wednesday...
