A basic hotel with poor Wi-Fi

Would I stay at the Red Roof Inn Kissimmee again? Most probably not, and for multiple little reasons rather than anything large or obvious. Mainly because the hotel has a run down feeling pervading it - nothing obvious, just a feeling of too many years of not quite enough maintenance and care. Also, Internet signal strength was always poor in my room, so response times were also poor. I wandered around a bit with my phone on my level to find better signal strength in some areas and less in others, leading me to suspect there are not enough repeater stations to give even coverage. My room was basic with vinyl floor, a practical thing to do but which doesn't help the overall 'bit run down' feel. That said, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and shower water hot and plentiful and staff helpful. I also had issues with the lock of my room - first the battery in the lock died (and was changed promptly) but then I couldn't get in with either electronic key so had to be given a hard-key to use for the rest of my stay. I didn't pay a lot for my room, and apart from the poor Internet (which is a deal breaker for me) the other issues were just annoyances, BUT, why put up with them when there are literally dozens of other hotels in the area, all advertising themselves at around the same price point, many of which are in better condition, So I didn't extend my stay and moved to a far more appealing hotel for similar money.

Wednesday and Thursday at Mecum - Kissimmee. I haven't stopped grinning since I got here. The weather has been perfect - mild days with clear skies.

I arrived about two thirds of the way through the auction (16th to 25th) with about 1000 vehicles left to go and my head spun just from looking at car, after car, after boat, after car, after …

... No offense, I always marvel at the patriotism of our American friends and wonder why we don't hang a few more flags at home. Patriotism is very important. I guess what I am trying to say is in some ways that focus takes away from the fantasy part of the adventure. Still there are some inspiring American Heroes who can be celebrated in manners remarkable.

... I tackled the insurance company! However, we took time in the evenings to have some fun. We saw a great show...
