Would I stay at the Red Roof Inn Kissimmee again? Most probably not, and for multiple little reasons rather than anything large or obvious. Mainly because the hotel has a run down feeling pervading it - nothing obvious, just a feeling of too many years of not quite enough maintenance and care. Also, Internet signal strength was always poor in my room, so response times were also poor. I wandered around a bit with my phone on my level to find better signal strength in some areas and less in others, leading me to suspect there are not enough repeater stations to give even coverage. My room was basic with vinyl floor, a practical thing to do but which doesn't help the overall 'bit run down' feel. That said, my room was clean, the bed was comfortable and shower water hot and plentiful and staff helpful. I also had issues with the lock of my room - first the battery in the lock died (and was changed promptly) but then I couldn't get in with either electronic key so had to be given a hard-key to use for the rest of my stay. I didn't pay a lot for my room, and apart from the poor Internet (which is a deal breaker for me) the other issues were just annoyances, BUT, why put up with them when there are literally dozens of other hotels in the area, all advertising themselves at around the same price point, many of which are in better condition, So I didn't extend my stay and moved to a far more appealing hotel for similar money.

Wednesday and Thursday at Mecum - Kissimmee. I haven't stopped grinning since I got here. The weather has been perfect - mild days with clear skies.
I arrived about two thirds of the way through the auction (16th to 25th) with about 1000 vehicles left to go and my head spun just from looking at car, after car, after boat, after car, after …
... Chicken Masala. Nancy had the fish & chips, while I had the steak, fried fish, stuffed Yorkshire pudding and veggies. It was all very good. For dessert Courtney and Nancy chose the Banoffee Tart and I had the Sticky Toffee Pudding. It was to die for....so, so good! Total cost for dinner without dining plan credits would have cost $105.34 put of pocket. We're getting great value for our meal credits this trip. It was almost time for Illuminations ...
... together and is always available on the Disney app for my iPhone.
Before leaving for the park, we stopped at the concierge to make some dinner reservations and activate Fast Pass entry for some of our favorite attractions. We probably saved an hour and a half of waiting on lines thanks to Fast Pass.
Since it was only ...
... day all round. We returned to the apartment absolutely crime crackered, and had nothing planned the next day! Having a nice lay in was glorious after the previous day, and once we had built up enough strength to leave the place, we only did it as we were off to an outlet mall. Jumping between air conditioned shops because of the heat, we managed to get a few steals, before returning to cook ourselves a meal. It was an early bed time, this time for the water ...
... locker wouldn't open or refund our keys, we had no more quarters, we raced around to get more change but everything was closing - so we decided to call it a day.
We waited 45 minutes in the cold for the trolley bus back to the hotel, where we jumped in the car and drove into Orlando city center. We were both tired, hungry and a little grumpy (OK, I was) and Justin felt a little sick, so the whole driving / navigating partnership was not working out for us!
