Wow. I was very, very close to going to sleep after giving up on reaching anyone useful at United. I might even have gone to the airport late tomorrow. BUT I called a final time, managed to get someone on the phone and she booked me on a slightly earlier flight on Al Nippon airlines!!! So, as long as she didn't play some twisted trick on an unassuming traveler... my trip is saved. Let's hope! And so, the joys of traveling begin...
