... 2m high by my estimates, which was made of a brassy coloured metal, with ornate decoration. It looked the part. And I bet it clangs – more likely clongs – a treat. You must be able to hear it for miles. The hammer appeared to be chained in place to prevent unwarranted banging on the bell. It was the perfect place to relax and stand for a few moments on the edge of the platform, feeling the sea breeze on my face.

... just off Hollywood Boulevard. The 'drive-in' (it's also a diner) has a totally 1950's theme, complete with a large juke box and mini juke boxes at all the booths. The booths are decked out very authentic 1950's style and there is a soda bar in the centre of the restaurant. Boy was I in love with this place!!! When we were walking out of the Disney/Ghirardelli shop, all the teenagers suddenly started screaming and pointing cameras. There on the street was Justin Bieber in his leopard print Audi, and he zoomed left onto Highland as all the girls fainted. ... shop has both English & Korean on their signs. Sort of like Springvale with the Chinese & Vietnamese signs. They are on a par with each other in their looks, which is not all that inviting.
