... oude station nu een bar, waar o.a. oesters, kreeft en garnalen op de kaart staan, hebben wij zoetwater mossels geproefd. Ze zijn van de zelfde grootte als onze mossels en de smaak komt ook ver overeen, het hangt daarbij natuurlijk ook af van de manier waarop ze zijn bereid. Maar wij vonden ze lekker, geserveerd met warme broodjes. Terug lopend naar de auto hebben we nog een kijkje genomen in het Hard Rock cafe.

... yes, free - metro/train ride to the ground. We arrived about two hours early to get full exposure to the atmosphere ... easy when you find your seat is at an altitude more fit for migrating geese! Surprisingly good view of the pitch/game though!

Day 1: getting outta the T-dot
... about Fallingwater was the young, charming-yet-intensely-awkward teenage guide we had through the tour. He tried to tell jokes but he had an incredably flat tone of voice that his jokes just kinda hung there. He would take us to the next room in the house & then end his spiel saying "Any Questions?" in a challenging (yet flat) tone of voice that said you better not ask any questions.
