      ... After a few breaks for food and drink we went onto Lincoln park, the largest in Chicago supporting soccer fields, tennis courts, basket ball courts, baseball field, nature walk with lake, a very large free zoo, conservatory housing tropical plants and further on is a golf course. If you are driving I think parking is expensive. We did go to the zoo, a very well maintained area for both animals and visitors - although I really enjoyed the visit was torn with certain animals ...

      ... d gone to Monaco to do his regular voice-over commentary for one of the TV networks. It was only a short diversion, so it didn't hold me up much.

      There are, I'm told, two seasons on American roads... winter and construction. I was seeing plenty of the latter:

      Chicago isn't particularly known for it's wildlife, perhaps that's why they have a humongous Aquarium and a rather large Zoo.
      Our first day in Chicago, braving the cold we took a trip out to Lincoln Park Zoo, and open air zoo in the huge Lincoln Park, on the shore of Lake Michigan. The whole concept of a free Zoo in the middle of your local park seemed a bit alien but pretty exciting too us,
