The Georgia Aquarium is simply amazing. I had heard it was great and that it was the biggest in the world but it truly was far more than I expected.

All the exhibits are phenomenal but the Ocean Voyager area was overwhelming - the length of a football field and more than 60 feet wide, it holds 6.3 million gallons of water. Georgia Aquarium is the only aquarium with whale sharks, the world's largest fish, and they are beautiful creatures. ...

840 miles and only saw one other Tesla...

... br> FYI - all the superchargers had good amenities (restaurants, shopping, etc) nearby but Baton Rouge was the best. A Trader Joe's and a Pei Wei were perfect for lunch and road snacks.

Blake enjoyed seeing his first (and 2nd, 3rd, 4th) supercharger as well as plugging it in a few times. Charged at a peak of about 345 miles/hr at each charger.

We didn't take time for sightseeing but did spot an alligator ...

... 1950s diner called "Clocked"for a burger and a huge thunder and lightning storm blew through....very fast and tons of rain for about 30 minutes. We were outside until the lightening got a little too close and then we moved inside....first time we had a not really friendly server. Went back to the Springhill Suites and got ready for the trip to Atlanta ...

Woke up around doing 8 and had breakfast in the hotel...pretty good actually. Then we were off to Wakinsville first which is a tiny village about 15 min from Athens. It's not big b.ut after a few wrong turns we found the Elder Mill covered bridge outside the town.. It's a pretty area with rolling hills and large cattle/horse farms. We then went to Monroe for coffee ?.small , not exciting town. Then we went back to Athens and spent the afternoon at the Georgia State ...

... boiled peanuts after laughing at our northern “non messy” approach. He told us about the Federal soldiers being kept alive by eating “Goober Peas” (peanuts) during their incarceration at Anderson Prison until they were released at the end of the Civil War.

We continued on our drive to the Sunflower Festival after purchasing vine-ripened tomatoes, fresh peaches and of course some of those boiled peanuts. ...
