... which are just outside Athens... They ar stunning, and free a beautiful tropical greenhouse, a herb garden and a Physic garden... Then an international, flower, shade, native, an old fashioned settlers garden and a lovely group of sculptures at the visitor center. We could have stayed much longer. ... as brick and wood construction. Some of the old homes in the historic towns are huge, well cared for and have little plackets out front with the buildings history.

We were very lucky to find a site in the state park for the holiday weekend. We didn't have a reservation and usually the parks are full on holidays. The park ranger told us they have had lower attendance due to the economy this year. Lucky for us, though not for them.
