      ... tennis bat and as it broke off the handle it knocked my hat off my head, hit me in the face and I fell into the six inches of water. For those of you worried about my safety, no cuts or bruises. Just a drenched hat and battered ego. South Carolina is famous for its farming, but given that we paid $7 for two tomatoes and a bag of potatoes it will be our last contribution to the South Carolina agricultural community.

      ... Kaleb that he had to get a least $10 of food on his plate. Well, he did what he was told but chose to do it by getting only dessert! I on the other hand went all out and even got steak! It was delicious. We headed back to the hotel and got into our swimming suits. All of us had a great time. Kylee took a few minutes to get use to the water but had a blast. Finally, we went back to our room for some much needed sleep ...

      Long day of driving - 442 miles, about 7.5 hours.

      We stay at this park usually on our way back home. It's comfortable, easy access, and good hookups. It is connected with a company that brings in live country entertainers throughout the year. We keep hoping we will be there when something is scheduled but have missed it so far.

      Good nights sleep then on the road ...

      Woke up this morning to 22 degrees and clear. Yesterday it snowed on and off all day although it never did stick to the ground. Now we have officially reached the coldest weather we will probably see on our trip. Love our down comforters.

      ... old college professor Dr Dan. He is an amazing cook as well as a very interesting man. Anyone who can single handily cook for 30 people by themself I admire. The weather was perfect to sit out the back and then everyone decided at the end of the day that this was our favourite day by far. The boys got to meet Dereck (13y) and Ryan (14y) who were young friends of Cindy, Jamie’s college buddy. These boys loved sport as much ...
