Trip to the Everglades Our trip to the Everglades was ok, the actual boat ride for an hour and a half in the glades was really interesting We saw a couple of alligators and lots of bird life Then when we got back to shore there was this big fat guy standing in a pool with about a dozen gators ready to ride one and put on a show for every one, not bad but a little staged for the tourists like us Back to our hotel then we took a hop on hop off bus to the galleria shopping ...

It was a refreshing change to finally be in America again after all that time away. Just a couple of days until I’m back in Brighton though, and nowhere in the world is quite like Brighton. Fort Lauderdale is however one of the few other places I’d happily live for a while. It’s got everything, it’s near Miami, and the weather is stunning most of the year.
