    ... Cleveland (Hi, Tom and Renee!) and Columbus (Hi, Paige!), but ever onward we sped. Maņana we hope to get just beyond St.Louis with a straight shot to Kansas City Saturday.

    ... do exactly that! In the Long-EZ, I have my fuel cap attached to the plane by a cable, but I wouldn't want to bet on it. Were the cable to break, it would hit our propeller, with catastrophic results. Even if the cap didn't damage the prop, we'd have lost half our fuel in about a minute.
