    Travelling chaos!

    ... in a good part of town so decided to cut my losses and not figure out where the morning bus left from and return to hostel.Top bunk in two bed dorm was comfortable and clean once I'd figured out how to get there with no ladder. Gymnastics and use of a chair! Shower hot but grim and place generally run down. However slept soundly awaking at 5.30 am to get bus to Vegas.
    Thank heavens for Starbucks! Open at 6 am so breakfast and welcome ...

    ... an overhead ramp. We were sure it was going to hit us, even though subconsciously we knew it wouldn't happen. I'm not actually sure what happened because I'm ashamed to admit I shut my eyes- only one of a handful of times I have on any ride, but we escaped unscathed to continue the exciting 3 and a half minute ride.

    Well you can guess how this day started.....a sleep in! I took advantage of a quiet morning to go on a run/walk and then jumped in our little outdoor pool to cool off. I had brought up bkfst supplies because it was only served until 9am so there were muffins, good cinnamon bread, cereal, yogurts, and oatmeal to choose from.     ... on which was interesting, while i was there i walked to Santa Monica, also when the other way along Venice Beach and along the Pier. Investigated the canals which were recommended by the bus driver, however they were nice enough but were nothing out the ordinary. the latter part of the trip was spent on the beach, just enjoying the sea air and the atmosphere.

I would definitely like to go back someday and see how the instruments have advanced over time. We may be able to see a lot more planets in the next 10 years than we can now. ...
