      Heerlijk geslapen, worden om acht uur wakker! Na koffie en oj rijden we naar Palm Springs om daar te ontbijten. We vinden een terrasje en we redden het net om buiten te ontbijten.       ... one of the roads leading out of Big Bear by a closed road sign and police car blocking the exit down the mountain. For some reason that part of the mountain was closed from 9am to 3pm.       ... we also ate at IHOP, grabbed takeaway pizza (& wine) from The Pizza Press, & dined at McCormick & Schmick's Grille at Garden Walk. It was certainly handy having takeaway places nearby when we were tired and wanting to kick back and relax. The pizzas were nice and I loved the little takeaway wine-in-a-glass.       ... a hot day and we were pretty tired. We found a sort of shady spot to rest and while we were snacking, I turned around and saw a tiny little hummingbird hovering around the flower we call 'bird of paradise'. For a split second I thought it was a giant bug or a dragonfly, it was that small. It was there and then gone so quickly, if Cilla hadn't seen a flutter I might've thought I was seeing things.
