Red Roof Inn Nashville

The Nashville adventure continues, ok so we technically stayed in Smyrna which is just outside Nashville but it's good enough for us. Its another week in Nashville with Jesse picking up a little bit of Australian contracting work so a few days were spent working hard (for Jesse and reading books for Bek).


We did manage to see some more of Nashville and touristy sites, find a $1.50 movie house and go Trick-or-Treating! First things first, Trick-or ...

ok, well the "ish" part of saying we were headed to Memphis was more correct. We settled into Nashville instead. Ryan drove us into the city and we parked in the park surrounding the Parthenon. The Parthenon was so lit up and the park was completely empty making it seem even more grandeur than alone. We kicked ourselves in the asses this morning for not getting out and taking a picture last night. We were all pretty surprised at the spaciousness of the Lola and her sleeping arrangement ...

... night life. We had a nice Italian meal (real food!!) and wandered off to Honky Tonk Row in downtown Nashville, right next to the original building for the Grand Ole Opry, full of 'honky tonk' bars that have live music all night long. The music ranges from Bluegrass to old country and new country.

... and really overspent on the budget (oops) but had a good time.

The next day very hungover and slept in, so went to one of the large shopping malls outside the town and just hung out in the air con! Retail therapy for me (zoe) as not been shopping yet - and it makes me feel better! lol.

For the last few days, we have been at Gramae and Pop's house in Nashville. It was great to be there and spend time with them and my cousins and aunts and uncles. One day, I helped babysit my baby cousin Colton. He is almost six months old and he is very cute. Tallulah and I also went to the dentist - I had to have one tooth pulled and the tooth fairy came to Gramae's house! Tallulah had to have surgery, but she is fine now ...

Of course the Choir was well rooted in the Salt Lake Tab**nacle in 1869. I know you're supposed to make a thing for every day but this was three years ago so I don't remember exactly. I went to different schools in rough areas every day and talked to kids. It was really cool because a lot of them didn't have many people to talk to.
