... Fremont, Ohio. Driving
through the residential area, I saw numerous houses decked out for halloween. I just hope
the pumpkins make it to Oct. 31st. Also in Fremont, I saw a box at the side of the road
selling squirell corn for $6 a bag. ( actually, the box wasn't selling it, but the owner was.)
They told me that they hang the ears in the trees for the squirells ...
It's been a long, hot summer!

Across Pennsylvania to Lake Erie
... and decided I had to see Lake Erie. It’s the 12th largest freshwater lake in the world, and the shallowest of the great lakes. Drove out Rt. 53 and 163 to Marblehead Lighthouse at the very end. Headed back to the other point toward Catawba State Park – right out into the lake; looked like a great site, but found out it had no camping. So headed back to East Harbor State ...
Changed our minds, flew south
... We are staying at American Wilderness Campground, a beautiful RV park th we have the place to ourselves. The locals only come here on the weekend. We drove through some very nice communities to get to the park and we didn't see any homes for sale, so I don’t think the recession hit this area as hard as in the southern states.

Eager for tomorrow's adventure to the Mazza Museum in Findlay. This is the first and largest collection (7,000 pieces) of original art used in illustrations of picture books. This is long time dream for me to visit. Hope I can take pictures!
