    ... to recall the events of that day. The cockroach museum lightened things up for us- it was a quick, but memorable stop( wink, wink!). Our drive to Austin was full of exclamations-"Blue Bonnets!! Blue Bonnets on the right!!" The roadside was so colorful. Once in Austin, it was fried chicken at Lucy's- fun to sit out in the cool evening air with a tin bucket of fried chicken- and some FRIED deviled eggs.     ... Asian elephants, giraffes, African penguins and the mountain lions. The male lion let out a very loud roar when he got up and stretched. We viewed a bald eagle which was a huge bird as were the vultures. The Texas area was an old western town which we walked through before viewing the local animals including the rattlesnake.     ... our group out in to the arena, they wouldn't tell them what they had to do so they were a little nervous. Jess asked me to go up but I hated the thought of not knowing what I'm getting myself in to so I didn't go.
