Spending the 21st catching up with my best friend of 20 years and ending the 22nd with dinner with my closest friends and another trip to the airport
By the 23rd I was in Colorado to visit GoAbroad's U.S. Office for literally 48 hours
And now I finally sit back at home in Sturgis again, preparing to move my sister, her husband, and their newest addition to Grand Rapids tomorrow and celebrate my amazing mother's birthday.
... so after we checked into the hotel we visited the Sturgis Harley Davidson in Sturgis, MI. Although we have already done the Sturgis rally in South Dakota we can now say we did Sturgis this year! On recommendation from the Harley dealer we ate dinner at a local mexican place which was very good.
Will be on the road early again tomorrow another roughly 650 miles. No real good pictures today, will post some hopefully tomorrow. ...
... in the motel lobby. Coffee was burnt. The cereal was all I felt like eating. White bread, sticky sweet pastries, and goopy waffle batter were big turnoffs.
We were soon back on the road again and all was good. A short distance in Indiana and then we reached Ohio where we spent a good deal of time, and finally PA. At some point in PA, we figured we would reach home around 6 PM - so we called Enterprise ...
... another hour through some beautiful countryside dotted with farms, only to be greeted by a traffic jam 7 kilometers (4 miles) from our destination of Grand Bend. After a 45 minute slow crawl, we were greeted by Colleen's cousin, Karen, and spent the evening catching up with her and husband, Rob. We sat out in their lovely, private backyard and enjoyed a drink before ordering up dinner from a local eatery. It's good to land in one place for a few days.
