Once we got to Denali we took out what we needed from our suitcases and went out to dinner - we were starving because we ahd had such big breakfasts that we didn't ahve lunch. ... it is way out of our price range. We also took a lovely walk along the water. You have to stay on the trail and you can't go too close to the water because the mud flats near the water are extremely dangerous. The bottom layer under the mud is glacial silt and you can easily sink in and get trapped-it behaves like quick sand. the tour guide told us that every year some people die on hte flats.
