Camped on the Beach
The solar panels are working. We parked at the end of the road on South Padre Island (SPI) on Wednesday, we haven't started the generator as of Monday. It has been great to stay here by the beach. Today we went to town to wash the MH, the windows were getting so covered in salt that we were missing part of the view.

Leaving New Braunfels, we headed down towards the gulf coast of Texas. After six hours of Texas ranch country, we came into Hurricane Alley. The low country of the Texas coastline is flat and wet. It doesn't take much to tear this area up. Most of the homes and commercial structures look new. Hurricanes are a form of forced urban renewal!

Can't Beat the Beach
... first - at the Baptist Church by the What-a-Burger. Saw Sandy Feet (she was "unlittering") and introduced myself, saying that she taught us how to make sandcastles many years ago. She asked if we were still building them and I said yes we were! She was very nice. Back to the condo for lunch - trying to eat things out of the fridge before we leave tomorrow. Then reading and a nap. CK and I went out to do a little more shopping. Then back to the beach ...
Winding down our Winter Texan season
... br> It seems there's always something going on at the Clubhouse, such as, Wednesday night dinner and entertainment; Thursday BBQs; Friday afternoon Jam sessions (with lots of talent); followed by potluck dinners; Saturday night dances and Sunday ice cream socials. So, as you can see, we do keep busy and there's seldom any boredom!
