Flushing, Michigan, United States maryn0503After saying our goodbyes to everyone at Cedarlane RV Park this morning, we're on the road to Michigan, in the home! Hartland, Michigan, United States pykesonthegoWe obtained baseball tickets online for a game between Tampa Bay and Detroit on Sunday, August 30, 2009 in Detroit (Comerica Park). We sat in section 121OD, row 9, seats 9-12. They were excellent seats. We were within 25' of the Tampa Bay dugout. The Tigers won 4 to 3. After the game, we took the people mover (monorail system) and had dinner in Greek Town.

Frankenmuth is well known for Bavarian heritage, hospitality, and charm. Frankenmuth is re-known for its German festivals, food, shopping and dining. We ate at the Bavarian Inn. Established in 1888, the restaurant is famous for its all-you- can-eat chicken dinners and its Wiener Schnitzel.
Frankenmuth is also the home of Bonner’s – the World’s largest Christmas store.

This journey is to be savoured.

... 8 decades. I know those soldiers are glad this flight surgeon keeps coming back! I had my last German beer on the plane coming home. One thing I am discovering about beer is that is so much less sophisticated than many other beverages. I still don't know how to stifle those beer burps! Never happened with wine. On more careful examiniation maybe it's not the beverage that is less sophisticated:) Hope to talk to all of you while I'm home!
Waterford, Michigan, United States kitchenshrink... came back with a grin on her face - they'd cranked it up to around 215kph! That night they took us out to a steakhouse for a goodbye dinner. It was great to have a night out with the guys just chatting about life. They played a great joke on Carlie by telling the waitress that it was her birthday, who then hauled her up in front of the entire restaurant to wish her a happy birthday. The guy got everyone to give her a huge birthday "Yeeeeehaaaa!"
