Day 8: The Long Drive Home
At this point we split with the Lys since we wanted to get an earlier start and they wanted to sleep in. When we said goodbye, they were just starting to get up and eat some breakfast.

... made it to our cabin! We were so excited to walk in. The place was beautiful. The photos really don't do the place justice. Very nicely decorated with leather recliner couches and deeply cushioned lounge chairs on the deck. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels meant we had plenty of room to spread out. And they they were pet friendly and welcomed Dim Sum ($30 pet fee).Check out the video we made when we first entered the cabin.

After we'd had a good look round we decided to have a drink and decide what we were going to do next. I suggested going to Comerica Park to get pictures with the Tigers (statues not real ones) and maybe trying to get some more pictures of the Transformers movie set. So once again we all piled into the car and set off. We arrived in Downtown Detroit and duly got some pictures ...
... went round to see how the house had progressed and there were more and more things going in such as the cooker, the dishwasher and the mirrors.
Then it was off to the Hamlin Pub for their beer and a brew for $5 which Andy and Gill were kind enough to pay for me. Well tomorrow is my last full day in Detroit (Rochester Hills) with the family as I move to Vegas for a few days on Thursday.
... of the night was pretty uneventful as the kids were really well behaved.
Sorry it's not much to read today but these are the last few days with my brother and his family before I head off to Vegas so activities and things to put in the blog will be put on the back burner for the next few days; however, I will still try and write an entry every day I just apologise if they're not that interesting.
