... 17 spans and a flat surface about one metre wide. Very easy to walk on and cleverly constructed about 2000 years ago. Had a lovely morning tea and scone sitting in the sun overlooking the steps before driving further north through Exmoor NP to Lynton. For most of the way it is much the same as everywhere else in Devon, farmland and villages, but further north you get onto the moors that are more open and exposed, with poorer grazing and so not enclosed paddocks with ...

After leaving St Austall we headed for Fowey which is such a gorgeous village at the mouth of the river. To our surprise when we walked down into the village there was the large shi Silver seas docked. It was the last thing you would expect to see in such a tiny place. And last but most definitely not least Granny and Grandpa in Topsham, who not for the first ...

Saturday 6th September Yet another fine day! Got our selves sorted after a very late arrival at our accommodation at 12.45am and set off for the local town of Cullompton for some food supplies. Back home, then off to Exeter for a bit of a look around. Drove to the outskirts and used the Park and Ride system into town. So easy and appropriate for us. Town was very busy with the inner area filled with shoppers, such a nice day to be out. Wandered down to the quayside area beside the ...

Gareth has now set sail from Plymouth at approximately 4pm. All feeling a little bit nervous today as the reality hits. Managed just about to get all of our stuff in the car. Fully loaded but we did it. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new era , very very excited. Enjoyed a full on day with the boys and Granny in ...
