... dinner Dave chose La Scala, because we both fancied a pizza. We toasted his birthday with a glass of Sangria and I sang happy birthday to him...quietly! The pizza's were enormous, how Dave managed to eat all if his I don't know. Creme brûlée /ice cream for pudding, then tea/coffee and we were stuffed! €40, our cheapest meal this holiday. When we came out it was raining, but we didn't care because we have had a great, sunny few ...

Any fish caught by its fins, was ripped out and tossed over the boardwalk. I had roasted cod for my main course, while Dave had sea bass. Both were delicious, washed down with a carafe of red. Then came the fondant chocolate, creme caramel and a coffee €64. It's reasonably mild out tonight so we didn't rush back, taking time to take photos of the cathedral in ...

Our last day in France and it rained all day. I thought that was rather apt. We arrived in the rain and we are leaving in the rain. It looks like its really happening and this guy is going to take the van. He is very excited and is travelling down with us to Cornwall tomorrow and then driving the Beast away. We are nearly finished one part of our journey and will have some time with Jane and Anton and a small trip to Greece to look forward ...

My last morning in France. Last nights meal at the hotel was excellent, far better than the basic room would suggest. Had my last croissant breakfast, then I've got a quick trip to the Carrefour hypermarket before getting the Eurostar back to the UK. No problems reported on ...
