... pretty warm and had been a long day, though the distance doesn't really paint the true picture. We got ourselves settled in at the Lions Campground on the Red Deer River and then walked into downtown and visited the library for some wifi and then the casino to once again donate to the local community, before walking back. Tomorrow we have arranged to see Aunt Jean, another of my mother's sisters. It is a lovely park and the location is wonderful-- ...

... afternoon catching up under the sun with Aunt Patty and cousin Jacob. Shortly after Uncle Mark arrives home and supper is started while I open some lovely bday gifts and FaceTime with the family back home while doing so. After an amazing dinner and even more amazing birthday cheesecake (to die for) the evening winds down, before we know it we're stifling yawns and start organizing our stuff for tomorrow's departure to Calgary and the much anticipated ...

... for dinner, I managed to talk the lady behind the counter at the Howard Johnson into a sizeable discount and I decided to stay there. She was even nice enough to lend me a bucket and I enjoyed the sunset while cleaning off the bugs and road grime of the Versys. I was concerned on the first day about the left shoulder, but so far all is well. The only thing that was sore today....., no not the butt, it was the ears from the amount of ...
