TWO STATES IN ONE DAY! Today we drove across Iowa and into Nebraska. Yet again, lots of rolling fields, getting a bit hilly and boring, but looking forward to the days to come. Sorry there's nothing exciting to report - we just had a 11 hour day driving and stayed at the Red Carpet Inn, Lincoln, Nebraska.

... a tad smaller this time. It's the basement of large house (what is it about us and servants quarters?), but is clean and tidy so OK by us. As you would no doubt expect, we arrived and checked out the downtown area. For a student-full state capital on a Saturday night it was all a little quiet with most restuarants and pubs seeming to close at 11pm. I attended the 2012 International Clarinet Association ClarinetFest in Lincoln, NE. It was a very well organized conference. I ended up meeting a lot of new people and saw a lot of old friends. I was even able to go to Omaha to see some old Air Force buddies. Overall, a great trip!
