... with the mini vans and semi's all doing 95 and it made for a hard, character building day. Naturally there is a lot of buffeting, but it is actually the wind pressing my helmet into the top of my head that I find the hardest. I lean forward on my gas tank, duck down and curse myself for not liking windshields!

If I said corn again today, would you believe me? I'm not lyen’ , honest.

We left Davenport, Iowa at 8:00 AM and 64 degrees. We got an early start today because we were up early, thanks to the time change. So, off we went, down the interstate, headed for Lincoln, Nebraska. What a neat location we have for our campaign office in Lincoln! It's in the Candy Factory, a renovated office, retail and restaurant space in the popular Haymarket area, very near the Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Our campaign staff did a great job furnishing and decorating the office as we held our grand opening party today. Volunteers are already working the phone ...
