... which equated to the 'also rans' we think. After lining up to get tickets we were herded, cattle like, to a bar that is 'a friend of the show' for an hour, before lining up again for an hour being told how important the audience is ....hmmmm ok ...... The actual show was ok, good band. There were some funny moments but the guest - Rosie ODonnell - wasnt very exciting. Jet Lag hit both of us in the theatre.... guess we were ...

As the Brooklyn flea market was on the other side of the Marathon route (the only way across was to run with the tide of the runners - the pack was quite thick at this stage so after my fill of cheering (quite a lot of Aussies doing this too!) I hopped back on the subway and into Manhattan.

... Vinaigrette was fabulous. They managed this substitution without slowing down the service--the fish course came in just as they whisked away my very empty salad plate.

Third course was salmon over spinach, crispy potato, and some sort of passion fruit sauce. This dish was at least as good as the tuna; I think even better, though I wouldn't have said that was possible. In one or two bites, I got just a little smattering of ...

... you look at railings, ceilings, doorknobs, lift buttons... The whole place is sheer lush.

Originally I had suggested we might stop there for a beer, but time was running away from us so we walked on to the Rockefeller Centre for an early bite before our date with the theatre round the corner from our hotel.... where we joined a full house to watch Mama Mia.

Went and had pancakes this morning at a diner just up from the Hotel. We do love an endless amount of syrup!!
We then did some final shopping for presents for people on Broadway. That all done we prettied ourselves up and headed to the subway and up towards 23rd street towards bed and bath for one final present for Mel at work but it turns out after walking for 15 minutes that the shop ...
