... from reading, that there are still many disadvantaged areas too. Tonight we had tickets to see the NY Knicks play the Sacramento Kings and just assumed that the game would still be on. Umm no! Whether the Kings couldn't fly in or the transport issues would be nightmarish, or a bit of both we don't know. Sleep in, nice late breakfast downstairs. Bought tickets to Aladdin on Broadway, one of the few the boys will enjoy most likely. Expensive, like everything else here but should be a great show! Back on the Subway downtown, pretty cold today, 0 degrees but a fine sunny day. We decided to walk over the Brooklyn bridge as the next two days are colder with ...

Reached Vic's place about 8:30pm, which is in one the many flats in New York. His flat is a lot bigger than i expected and he made us feel so welcome and at home, even put a little overnight stay welcome pack on our bed for us and a guide book to New Zealand (Think it was a hint!). We hit the bed pretty much straight away in order to regain our energy for ...

... go inside and its as pretty as the scenes from Sex and the City. We go upstairs and there is a painting on the ceiling in one of the halls that reminds me of the Sistine Chapel painting. Definitely a wow factor. We peek in the many reading rooms before we head out to our next stop.

A couple of blocks down and we get to Grand Central. Its facade is really pretty and with the Chrysler Building in the back ground, we get some cool shots. We also go inside and the ceiling is ...
