We spent our one full day exploring the area by bike enjoying the cool but sunny weather. We picnicked in a dune, protected from the wind and rode our bikes back all the way over the gorgeous wide beach with wind in our backs..

Nonetheless this is very atypical for the US - no big billboards, commercial malls are hidden behind trees and landscaping, there are traffic circles instead of lights, buildings do not exceed five stories etc. and I find it quite peaceful and charming.
