First Day

We're on our way!! Today we drove around DC. Saw the Washington Monument and Capitol Bldg to our right. Then through Maryland and into Virginia past Manassas (Bull Run) and Richmond(Capital of the Confederacy)
We lunched at Subway near Stafford south of Fredricksburg. Paid $3.18 gal for gas. pretty good.
Made it to Rocky Mount, North Carolina around 4pm

... There is no scenic
overlook here, as there are trees growing on top as well as beauty berry
bushes. We finished up Summit Loop Trail and crossed the bridge and
finished up Discovery Loop Trail. Along the Little Fishing Creek bank,
we saw a raccoon who did not seem too concerned about the approaching
humans. Next, we turned right on Stream Loop Trail to end ...

... night ] we trudged back down the death road, stopping briefly at what boasted MiniMart but turned out to be a world food's section stretched out cover a whole shop. I got some Iced Tea [ Price on the bottle $1... but that's without tax. All the prices displayed are without tax. So... they're not the prices. At all. That $1 bottle of iced tea cost me $1.07. My question is... if the display price is NOT the price I'll be paying... why ...

... few but nothing outstanding.
Today was also the day we survey Ventosa Plantation. Like I said the last time we visited this place, I felt strange being there. The cell service drops to nothing as soon as you enter the place and it is crawling with police from all around the state. We got in and out without a hassle and moved on with our day.
It was a short day compared to yesterday which was nice! ...
