After several hours, which seemed to fly by, we finally had to leave and head for our next stop. We had to make a stop for an oil change and lunch and off we went for a drive through Vermont, my 47th state to visit and the Green Mountains.
... but some fall colors were still visible. Even though the drive was long, It will be well-worth it for baseball fanatic Dave.
It was great to see the lockers, uniforms, gloves and memorabilia of the baseball greats. Really amazing how much baseball has changed over the years but is it still "America's Favorite Pasttime"?.

So far, we made stops in Upstate New York. Didn't see too much out of the window yet. I'm sure those views will be saved for the second half of my trip (Chicago to Vegas).

I wanted to see the American Impressionism exhibit at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown before it ended on September 16th and was planning to be away with Kara on Sunday - Candae's birthday. I was hoping for a rainy day so I could excuse myself from house painting, but it turned out to be gorgeous.

... of the campsites. Apparently the black bears do like to frequent this area, further proof was provided by the "bear resistant" trash dumpsters. Exiting the state park (without seeing any bears) we headed east on scenic highway 112 which transit’s New Hampshire's White Mountains.
